Wish I knew about this the other day when I wrote about the day Elvis came to Newton County. Turns out Elvis impersonator Cody Ray Slaughter from Harrison, Arkansas, was featured the other night on “The Late Show With David Letterman.” More impressive, Slaughter has opted to not go the sloppy Andy Kaufmanesque route with a latter day Elvis impression. Instead, he does a dead on take of Elvis during his Sun Studio years and is touring in the stage production of “The Million Dollar Quartet”.
